End of GP Gratitude

Happy Equinox, folks!  Today marks the end of the Gratitude Project for another year.  As such, here are my last few posts.

Day 50: I am grateful for pedicures.  It has been a while since I could reach my own feet.

51: I am grateful for all the awesome things that there are to share with my daughter.  Today, we are going to share a classic movie: The Wizard of Oz.

52: I am grateful for the peace I’ve managed to find in my life.

Grateful Gratitude

I accept that I am not going to be doing this every day, but I do need to remind myself of the good things on days when I am feeling like a beached whale.

Day 42:  I am grateful that I only have about 2 weeks left of being pregnant.

43: I am grateful for the pre-baby shopping spree that has managed to get us all caught up on stuff we need.  I am a lot less stressed now that I have a new car seat and baby bed.

44: I am grateful that I still have another week before I have to get back on the “endless appointments” bandwagon.

45: I am grateful for rain.  Always.

46: I am grateful that 130+ people are interested in what I have to say.  I started blogging to just keep track of my own rantings and ravings so I wouldn’t bore my friends with it. lol

47: I am grateful for sleep-in snuggle babies.  It lets me get a couple of hours extra sleep and who doesn’t love watching a cuddly baby sleep??

48: I am grateful for chilly mornings that make the sleep-in snuggle baby possible 😀

49:  I am grateful for cardboard forts.  It’s free and keeps kids busy for hours.

More Gratitude: Days 34 – 41

Day 34: I am grateful for finally being caught up on the bills.  It wasn’t a huge stressor, but it was definitely one we didn’t need.

Day 35:  I am grateful for sales on juice.  With a squished, end of pregnancy stomach, I don’t always have the space for just water.

Day 36: I am grateful that my little one likes milk.  She loves chocolate milk, but she often asks specifically for regular milk in the mornings.

Day 37: I am grateful for packages in the mail!  I love getting snail mail!  15 balls of yarn at once!  Yay Yarn sales!

Day 38: I am grateful to my mom for my ability to make handmade gifts for people.  Craftiness runs in the family and it’s great that I didn’t have to try to teach myself.

Day 39: I am grateful for sunshine with mild temperatures.  I like the sun a lot more when it isn’t trying to cook me.

Day 40: I am grateful for naptime (and I don’t care if this one is a repeat).  Naptime is an all important aspect of life that needs more recognition!

Day 41: I am grateful that my belly is small enough that I can reach to shave my own legs still.  It’s not easy, but I can do it!

Day 42:  I am grateful for an awesome hubby who went to 3 different grocery stores and 2 drug stores looking for my meal replacement shakes.  And not only did he finally find them, but he also came home with a gift certificate for a mani-pedi.  He is awesome!

GP2013 – Days 26, 27, 28, and 29

Let’s see …

Day 26: I would tell you what I was grateful for on Monday, but I honestly don’t remember Monday, so we’ll go with random gratitude – aka I am grateful for Coke.  For some bizarre reason, Coke soothes a sore throat when even water hurts to drink.

Day 27: Tuesday, I was grateful for movable doctor’s appointments.  I am running out of stamina for running around all the time, and I was happy for a break.

Day 28: Yesterday I was grateful that my overtired little girl went fell asleep easily and without a fuss.

Day 29: Today I am grateful for meat sales. Two pot roasts for the price of one will help me get some meals into the freezer for when the little one arrives.

The Gratitude Project 2013 – Days 23, 24, and 25

Day 23: Friday I was grateful for mass clearance sales on baby clothes.  Now I at least have something other than a blanket to wrap the little one in when he arrives.

Day 24: Yesterday I was grateful for whatever planetary alignment allowed for the pausing of the terrible twos and gave me back my sweet, helpful, cuddly little girl back 🙂

Day 25: Today I am grateful that my head cold seems to be a short lived thing.  I’m feeling much better than I have been the last two days.

GP2013 – Catch Up: Days 19, 20, 21, and 22

Aren’t the last days of summer supposed to be lazy and carefree before we get back into the business of appointments and meetings in the fall?  Not for pregnant people, apparently.

Day 19: Monday I was grateful for local small business.  I generally prefer to not buy online if I don’t have to, so when a local business will order supplies in for me, I am more than happy to keep my money in town.

Day 20:  Tuesday I was grateful for an end to at least one portion of pregnancy complications.  Hopefully, things will go smoothly from here on out.

Day 21: Wednesday I was very grateful for a well-behaved two-year old who was patient and cheerful through several hours of errands.  She even had a nap in the van!

Day 22: Today I am grateful for Slurpees.  I would not be surviving this heat without them.

The Gratitude Project 2013 – Days 16, 17 and 18

Where did the last 3 days go?

Day 16: Friday I was grateful for cleaning that didn’t involve me having to lift a finger.  I love it when that happens 😀

Day 17: Yesterday I was grateful for distraction.  My SO picked up a copy of the new Sims.  I played for a few hours and forgot about how hot and muggy it has been this week.

Day 18: Today I am grateful for the brief break from the heat last night in the form of a good solid rain.  Hot and I do not get along.

GP 2013 – Days 13, 14, & 15

GP catch up …

Day 13:  I am grateful for a healthy, active baby.  Even when he spends his days kicking me in the ribs.

Day 14: I am grateful for the little bits of common courtesy I experience when I am out amongst people.  It gives me faith that not all cities are filled with hipster douchebags.

Day 15: Today, I am grateful for forethought.  Keeping windows open and fans running through the cooler nights helped to keep me from melting in today’s muggy heat.
